Helping Clients with their Fixed Income Needs

We are a boutique fixed income money manager specializing in municipal bonds and private loans.

Why?

Bond prices are opaque. Bond structures are complicated. Some bond issuers are less likely to pay their debt service. Bond execution is expensive. Our motivation is to help our clients navigate these opaque and complicated markets.

How?

Our client's have different risk tolerances, return objectives, and liquidity needs. ASA is a Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) on the Schwab Advisor™ Platform. Each client can open a separate account and instruct ASA to build a unique portfolio that aligns with the client's individual risk tolerances.

What?

Our clients range from large, multi-billion dollar family offices and corporations to individual accredited investors with portfolios less than $500,000. The principals at ASA have been trading proprietary fixed income strategies since the late 1980's. We believe that active management is critical to minimize risk and optimize returns.

Our Story

1992 - 2000
Founding Partners

These strategies revolved around bonds versus futures or swaps arbitrage, and yield curve arbitrage.

2012 to Present
